I majored in Math at the University of Chicago, where I thought about how population abundances affect the stability of random ecosystems. After graduating, I spent a year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I studied how neutral biodiversity patterns can emerge from consumer-resource dynamics. I am interested in using theoretical ecology and datasets from varied biological systems to understand how ecological communities assemble and stably coexist. In my free time, I like to play soccer, rock climb and discover new music.
