I graduated from the University of Richmond with my B.S. in Biology and Computer Science in 2019. While there, I used freshwater sponges and algal symbionts to study the genetic pathways involved in the evolution of animal symbioses. I also worked on improving an agent-based model to better understand the population dynamics of these symbionts, particularly in light of predicting the impact of climate change. In the future, I am interested in using computational techniques to solve problems relating to human health, such as cancer genomics. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and kayaking, cooking and creating art.
