I graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelors in chemical engineering in 2018. My undergraduate research explored emergent cooperation of E. coli auxotrophs using 13C metabolic flux analysis. I then spent two years at DuPont, researching therapeutic agents for human diseases involving the gut microbiome. I'm very interested in developing single-cell technologies for characterizing heterogeneity in complex communities and pairing these methods with genetic perturbations to define how gene networks drive phenotypes in both bacterial and mammalian systems.
