Chan lab is interested in the gene regulation networks that control when and how cells change their cell states during mammalian early development.  Specifically, we work on using CRISPR-Cas9 lineage tracing and single cell RNA-seq to characterize the mammalian cell fate map including charting differentiation pathways and understanding progenitor cell behaviors.  Our lab conducts both experimental and computational work.
