Postdoctoral Research Associate Position in the Adamson Lab - Requisition# D-22-LSI-00006
Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics
Princeton University

Position Description

The Adamson lab in the Molecular Biology Department and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics seeks applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate or more senior research position to lead a project focused on studying DNA mismatch repair in the context of recently developed genome editing tools. The anticipated start-date is 09/01/2022 or later. Appointments are for one year, with the possibility for renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.

The Adamson lab is principally a genomics lab focused on studying mechanisms of genome stability maintenance. For our work, we use and develop cutting-edge experimental technologies, including genome editing tools and approaches for performing genetic screens and single-cell RNA-sequencing. A major topic of interest in the lab is genome editing. We seek to understand how modern genome editing tools interact with 'host' cell mechanisms. Please visit our website to learn more about our research. The successful candidate for this position will design innovative experimental systems, conduct experiments, and analyze the generated data. Work on both projects will incorporate cutting-edge genomics technologies and present opportunities to work closely with a Research Specialist in the lab and world-class computational scientists in the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics.

Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field and a strong track record of productivity are essential qualifications. Previous experience with CRISPR-Cas technologies or next-generation sequencing-based data analysis is a plus.
