From studying mathematics at MIT and spending a year as a researcher at Harvard Systems Biology, I became interested in the use of mathematical models to better understand complex, intertwined phenomena such as the dynamics of a basketball game or the selective binding interaction between specific protein domains. Building on my previous research experience in machine learning approaches to personalized medicine, I hope to be widely involved in learning about various computational approaches to other problems in biology and medicine.
