My name is Miguel and I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland but completed my undergrad at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. During my time at Baylor and through various internships I developed a passion for using data science to study complex biological problems. I think research can be improved by coupling simulations and modelling to experiments in an effort to save time and valuable resources. From a scientific standpoint, I love biochemical research, where I am fascinated at how seemingly insignificant changes to small molecules and proteins can impact entire systems and organisms.
