I am interested in studying biological systems through the lens of statistics and computer science, especially in the context of cancer genomes.  My goal through graduate school has been to build a strong foundation in CS and statistical theory, complementing my BS in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and Statistics Minor from UC Davis.  I find that the cornerstone of research in the integrated sciences is communicating the ideas and findings of research in a language amenable to the fields involved.
