I am from Lima, Peru. I trained as an experimentalist in the areas of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology before immersing myself into analytical genomics at QCB. My work encompasses the discovery of driver features that lead to cancer progression at the genomic and metabolic levels. To do so, I analyze large cancer genomic and metabolic datasets in order to build novel statistical models that can one day be used in personalized medicine and the development of better cancer-fighting strategies.
