Jay Golden Position Graduate Student Title Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics Email [email protected] Bio/Description I graduated from University of California, San Diego in 2023 with majors in Biochemistry and Bioengineering: Bioinformatics. During that time, I did research at Scripps Research in computational protein design and biophysical characterization of membrane spanning protein domains. I am broadly interested in how a multi-dimensional understanding of evolutionary information and molecular interactions can be used to make advancements in biotechnology, as well as how biomolecules utilize and manipulate geometric constraints to form complex, dynamic structures. I am additionally interested in how scientific understanding of biological systems can best be used to make decisions in health policy.
