Aviya Litman Position Graduate Student Title Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics Email [email protected] Bio/Description I graduated from Columbia University with a bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science. During my time at Columbia, I designed algorithms to model pangenomic diversity within and across microbiomes at scale. I also worked on analyzing temporal growth dynamics in the microbiome and characterizing bacterial transmission across the mother-infant axis at birth. I am interested in developing quantitative approaches to better understand the role of variation in human health and disease. In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, running, and reading fantasy literature. Adviser Olga G.
