Joshua Shaevitz, assistant professor of Physics and Lewis-Sigler Institute faculty member, is the recipient of a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed by the federal government on young professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers. Andrew Houck, an assistant professor of electrical engineering at Princeton, also received an award, along with other outstanding scientists across the country.
