Now on the homepage is a breakthrough led by Yibin Kang, a professor of molecular biology. He and his research team discovered a factor that promotes the metastasis of cancers to bone, opening the way toward treatments that could mitigate breast and prostate cancer’s ability to colonize bone. 

The work was also supported by several federal agencies and nonprofits, including the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
