QCB graduate students Daniel Lee and Cassidy Yang were awarded 2018 Graduate Research Fellowships from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Daniel (Brangwynne/Wingreen labs) is currently working to understand the interplay of intracellular liquid-liquid phase separation and chromatin organization using live imaging and computational approaches, and Cassidy (Shaevitz lab) is working to understand the motility-driven generation of order and the emergence of organized multi-cellular 3D structures within groups of social bacteria.

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program recognizes top students across the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics who are pursuing masters and doctoral degrees at US institutions.

Congratulations to Daniel and Cassidy!

See the NSF website for a full list of honorees.
