My research interest is in computational biology, with an emphasis on developing methods to analyze complex and noisy data at scale. In general, I draw on diverse computational fields (e.g. deep learning, data visualization, sequence algorithms, distributed computing, automation) to study interesting biological topics, such as metagenomics, aging, and diabetes. Prior to my Ph.D. studies, I completed my B.S. in Computer Science at Trinity University, and worked at the Joslin Diabetes Center. For more information, see evancofer.com.
