While at the University of Colorado at Boulder, I studied programmed, cell death using C. elegans as a model organism. I became fascinated with the challenge of choosing between alternative research questions. As a graduate student, I look forward to doing basic research in biology that is coupled with the study of decision-making. I am particularly interested in modeling as a tool that rigorously combines these two pursuits. In my free time, I rock climb, ski, and am passionately devoted to curry.
