During my undergraduate studies at MIT, I became interested in how biological information can be organized with the help of mathematical tools from machine learning and information theory. My research has involved understanding and modeling of metabolic, signaling and transcriptional networks and has led me to become interested in how combined insights from these various types of networks can cast light on problems in developmental biology. In my spare time I am an avid tennis player and a frequent consumer of philosophy and literature.
