I graduated from the University of Maryland with a double major in Cell Biology & Genetics and Mathematics. I worked for several summers at a molecular epidemiology at NCI as a lab technician and for one year in a microfabrication and microfluidics lab at NIH doing image processing. I am interested in population genetics, especially when applied to non-model organisms. In my free time, I enjoy reading, talking about math, growing succulents, and knitting the occasional DNA scarf.
