My passion for entomology began through long afternoons playing with ants in my driveway, but it was cemented with a BS in Genetics at the University of Chicago. There, I used computational tools to elucidate the genetics behind variation in wing patterning in the butterfly Elymnias hypermnestra. At Princeton, I hope to use tools from molecular biology, the computational sciences, and ecology to better understand the evolution of communication. I love linguistics, board games, hiking, Commedia dell'arte, and collecting tchotchke turtles.
